Quinta Vale do Sabor, Torre de Moncorvo
In the Douro Superior, on the slopes of the Vale do Rio Sabor, is Quinta Vale do Sabor, with 42 hectares. The oldest plots in this Quinta are around 35 years old. This is one of the two property that make up the Douro project: Quinta Vale D. Maria.
Planted, among others, with the Touriga Franca, Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz, Alicante Bouschet and Baga varieties, they are exposed to the east, bathed in the morning sun and protected from the torrid sun of the late afternoon. The vineyards of this historic valley are the genesis of wines that reflect the terroir in which they are located.
In this idyllic property you will be able to taste and buy wines produced in the oldest demarcated wine region, whilst enjoy the beautiful view over the vineyard.

Tasting Douro Superior
As did D. Maria II, who allowed the river to be navigable towards the Douro Superior, we ventured upstream of the Douro and selected some grape varieties that reflect the intensity and minerality of this sub-region.

We ventured up the Douro to the Douro Superior sub-region and selected some vines in the Douro Superior to create this wine with the density characteristic of this sub-region of the Douro.
